Through the corridors of history in all parts of the globe, various were ways to capture this voice though rituals and cultures dating back thousands of years and in far away lands. From the Indus valley to the Sumerian cultures, from the Shang Dynasty in China to the Mayan Zapotecs of Mesoamerica, many a culture has passed down their forms of communicating with the realms beyond the buring flames of the Native American medicine circles. Pictures, symbols, text, and oral tradition have all but been passed down through generations and generations of good peoples to assist and gently provide but a clue to the secrets of our own lives.

Like many of these traditions, the Tarot has also been passed down through time and numerous cultures to land in it's current form of the 78 cards consisting of two main groups called Arcanas. The word Arcana is derived from the Latin word Arcanum, which means 'Secret'. What type of secrets these symbols reveal remain to be shared in the communion between the reader and the individual who shares their current life patterns though their own subconscious sharing. Between the 22 cards of the Major Arcana and 56 cards of the Minor Arcana, all aspects of human triumphs and tribulation are prescribed, ready for the Human spirit to communicate through.
